Yarn, Fiber, Tools for the Creative Mind

The Cat and Crow opened in October of 2009.  We wanted a store focusing on local fibers, yarns, and gifts.  Our goal is a friendly and inspiring atmosphere.
We hope you enjoy a visit to our store soon!

Melissa (Mo) Brown

had previous yarn store and other retail experience before opening The Cat and Crow.  She has been knitting and crocheting since childhood.  Her other responsibilities besides yarn store owner include mom, shepherdess at Four Crows Farm, fiber artist, and expert dyer.
Mo loves to knit lace and color work and will add beads to just about anything.  Her current passion is wet felting vessels.  She is also an accomplished spinner and has created her Four Crows Farm roving to be easy to use for the beginning spinner and interesting enough for any spinner to enjoy.  You can contact Mo by email: mo@thecatandcrowonline.com

Rebecca Boelhower Santi

has worked in a yarn store previously, but she loves having a real stake in a great small business.  She actually learned how to knit from Mo in 2001.  She has learned quickly that fixing mistakes is more fun than ripping out miles of knitting and loves to help customers learn all the tricks of the trade.  Rebecca can crochet a bit and is spinning yarn with more regularity.  She loves to teach kids knitting, wet felting, and dyeing.  It is great to see the flexibility of young minds.  Her other responsibilities besides yarn store owner include mom, commission knitter, and CSA worker (in the summer).  You can contact Rebecca by email: rebecca@thecatandcrowonline.com
